Is there a "break in" period for an RO unit. My new unit is rated 110gpd but I think it's making about 50gpd. My water pressure is a little low at 40 so could that be the reason? The manufacture recommends 40 to 80. heres the link, http://www.watergeneral.com/product01.aspx

That seems about right, the gpd estimate is at the high end when the pressure is at 80 and the temp coming in is around 80, this is just approximate figures, but warm water and high pressure is what is needed

Temp and pressure impact output quite a bit.
