RO Extension Tubing

My RO/DI unit is equipped with a faucet adapter. I'm hoping to run RO/DI from my kitchen sink to my new tank. This will eliminate the need for having to fill up trash cans.

If I purchase a connector and extra tubing, will pressure be an issue? I'm thinking there will not be enough pressure to move the water from the faucet, directly into the tank (a distance of approximately 60 feet).

I'm only looking to do this once in order to fill the tank. Is there anything I can do/buy in order to accomplish this?

Thanks!

I must caution against running RODI's directly to the tank.
If the float valve shut off fails your salinity will drop and there will be an overflow.

I think you may be right, unless you already have pretty good pressure and there are no "uphill" sections (stairs) on its way to the new tank.

You can always pump water from a container at the RO/di location to the tank in order to do the fill up. My RO/DI is set up in the garage. The container is a rubbermaid trash can. I use an external pump connected to the can through a bulkhead and plumbed through the attic with hard pipe to the fish room. This is a permanent setup which allows me to pump water to a container for water changes or to my top off vessel.

You can set something like this up temporarily using a submerisble pump in a rubbermaid can and a combo of PVC (inexpensive) and some vinyl tubing and a couple of connectors.
