RO membrane replacement

Hi,

I have replaced all the cartridges on my RO unit a couple of times and just recntly purchased a new membrane.
Never done this before and the tutorials I am watching online look a little out of my wheelhouse.
Any suggestions or tips?
It's a BRS 75GPD unit with a BuckeyeHydro new membrane.

Thanks in advance:wave:

Pretty easy once you do it once. Turn off the water just like you do when changing your other filters and unscrew the end cap of the membrane and pull it out. You may need some thin pliers to pull it out. Push in the new one and flush a few gallon and you should be good to go.

thx
Do I have to unhook all the waterlines or cut them?
In review of the setup, I think I can just pull that top cartridge off and do as mentioned above..

No - don't cut any tubes. Just remove the tube from the fitting in the center of the RO membrane housing cap.

The critical part is when inserting the new membrane. Slide it in gently and you'll feel when it hits the far end. Then put the heel of your hand on the central stem and push hard - you'll feel it go in another 1/4" as the two rubber orings seat into a little "cup." It's that last 1/4" that's critical.

Here's a cutaway of what that looks like inside the housing:
