Recently I noticed the pressure after my prefilters had dropped to 20-something psi (don't recall exactly). Flushing the membrane would boost it into the low 30's for a short while before it would drop again. The incoming pressure was still 60 psi. So I sanitized the housing and replaced the prefilters. The post prefilter pressure was then 38psi. I took everything apart and checked all the connections. There are no blockages or leaks that I could find. So I systematically removed each of the prefilters and found that my 5 micron sediment filter contributes no pressure loss, my 5 micron carbon filter contributes 15 psi pressure loss, and my 1 micron carbon filter contributes 2 psi pressure loss. I've never seen this kind of pressure loss from my prefilters before, and they are brand new!
