RO top off storage container size

Running the RO unit directly to my sumps is allowing alot of "creap" which I think is part of my algae problem. So I am going to run the RO to a container and then pump it up to the sump. If I currently use about 1-1/2 gallons of top off per day, how big should the container be? I want to reduce the higher TDS on start up but didnt want to got too big and have the water to sit for too many days and get stagnant.

As long as you keep it clean, RO water won't really have problems from being stagnant.

How much room do you have? Enough for a 30g brute? They're cheap and convenient.

I've got 55 gallons in a drum. Only have to refill it every 2-3 weeks and fill the makeup and the salt mix tank which is about 60 gallons.

I usually make 50 gallons or so at a time in the basement. I then lug up a 5 gallon bucket to my display on the first floor. That allows me about 3 days of evaporation. I evaporate about 2 gallons a day in the basement system. So, I end up having to make more water about every 10-14 days.

I use a 22G brute with a float switch/auto shut off system. I have a uniseal and a valve with spa flex attached to the bucket so I can easilly transfer water for top off or to a 30 gallon tank for salt mixing. This is the perfect size for me because I always have at least 10% of my tank capacity available to me, sometimes more if I have water mixing.
