i have a coralife 100 g.pd unit, its a few months old it is supposed to make 4 gals an hour and did so,until recently, it has a electric pump,it seems to be taking alot longer to make the water, like a few extra hours, anytway i am using only the cold water handle, cause i was told not to use hot,but could i turn on both the cold and hot water??is this normal that the machines slow up production?any other ideas??

First... Do not run hot water through the RO unit. It will melt your membrane filter.

Now.. you said a few months, how many?

Most people change there pre filters every 6 months. Have you looked at your pre filters? Are they clogged?

Also if you have a PSI gage, what's the PSI before the pre filters, and after the pre filters?

Also with the flow rating advertised with ro units are with water temps at 77 degree. Most peoples water temps are in the 60's to 45's, depending where you live. with cooler water temps you will have less production.

The most common cause of low production is cold temperature feed water or low pressure. What is your pressure? What is your water temperature?
