Ok, I know this probably belongs in another forum, but I need help asap.

I need to get a QT tank setup and a large quantity of new salt water ready to go asap. Any recommendations on a good RO unit that isnt going to bust the bank?

I need something that will hook up under the sink or to the focet itself. what are you guys using?

That's a really good deal on that unit. You'll like the 110 gpd, mine is only 35 gpd which makes doing large water changes a big pain (I have a 110 and a 240). The next time I order a RO membrane I'm checking to see if a 'faster' membrane is compatible with my RO unit (mine was from www.roultratec.com).

cool- just ordered that one mikeeal- does it come pre-assembled?

Well, for the most part, yes. All you have to do is screw in the three bottom filters with the supplied wrench, and hook up all the lines. Here's a pic of mine installed.

As you can see, I tapped right into the cold water line. Worked perfect.

thanks for the pics.

Is that setup safe for humans to drink daily? I drink tons of water a day- (im concerned with it being too clean-)

How long have you had it? I suppose this thing is supposed to last a year with normal use without needing too much replacement stuff.

They say six to twelve months on replacement filters, but there's too many variables to give an accurate answer. It depends on how nasty your tap water is originally. I recommend getting a TDS meter. You can get a dual, inline one for around 25 bucks on ebay. That way you can check the tap water going into it, and also the water it's producing and know when to replace them. About the water being too clean, I don't know. There's quite a bit of debate on that, and most people have pretty strong opinions whether they do or don't think it's bad, but I don't know. Something about it stripping the electrolytes from your body or something. Who knows. I drink it everyday, as well as my wife and 7 month old baby girl.
