RO Water

Hi I am currently using rODI water but I have CO2 and it's just a hassle. If I switch to just RO water, should I condition it? If so what condition works best in your experience.

Man degassing the water is the way to go. I am guessing you have well water. pump straight well water into container with a air stone in it. Let that gas off for 24 or more hours. Then run it through the RO/DI system with a booster pump. Doing this will help you going through a ton of resin. Spectrapure had something on this on their site not sure if they still do. what system do you use?

I have a brs 5 stage, and no I am in the Indianapolis metro. It's a pain in the butt with an apt. I know people have successful reefs with tap water. 10 tds water can't be that bad if conditioned.

It could be fine, it could be very bad, without a comprehensive analysis of the water chemistry you simply do not know.

I too have high Co2 water that used to eat DI resins up. Started filling a garbage can with RO and using an airpump with an airstone to aerate and now the resins last a very long time, well worth the hassle. I added some ball valves going to the booster pump tp xfer water from the garbage can into my DI can ti simplify things as well.

10 tds water could be bad. We don't know exactly what that 10 is could be anything. The achievement in this hobby is to get to 0 tds for a reef tank.

again 10 tds could be deadly and may not be. Using a conditioner will not achieve anything since we don't know exactly what is in the water that is showing that tds. Best way again is to degas it and using a pump
