Ok. so I had a proposal put before me from an acquaintance. this person has a 240 gallon system they are needing to have removed from their house. it is a nice 240 gallon glass cages tank and complete system including some very nice equipment such as Reeflow, MRC, sea swirls, glass cages, luminarc etc...

They are willing to gift these items to me on the condition that I get it removed from their house. take it all or take nothing. Problem is, it is in NW Arkansas meaning a day drive up, a day to take it apart and a day drive back. there is rock, fish and everything as the system is running. he had a crash of his calc reactor while on a trip and due to this has lost interest in the hobby.

I am putting this out there to see if anyone might be interested or available to take a road trip with me leaving out Thursday the 8th in the evening and getting back on Sunday the 11th. Please PM me if you are interested in this.
 
BTW, i dont need all of this equipment. so the trip would be to gather it all up and then get what you want and then sell the rest. Im working on a good list now.
 
No worries. I just got the call on this today. and this is the best weekend I can actually do it then. HOpefully someone will come along that will need or want this and we can go. otherwise, it will be a long drive for me.
 
I would say the 180 is good news as you were expecting a 72x24 footprint already. shallower is better or at least less painful to deal with:)
 
a real man would go with the 300gal sump. it is only about $50 more than the 150gal. that is if one cared about bragging rights (or butt kicking stability)
 
If you want total stability, Just run your Pool with a salt system and use It as a sump for your tank, Hehehehe Heck the fish pee in the water anyway so the kids won't matter!
Now that's bragging rights....

Yea right Bill! that aint gonna happen. no pool here. if I was to do that, might as well use the pool as the tank. or heck maybe I should just move to aruba and be done with the whole tank thing....

then again.. I will have this extra 225 tank sitting around. I KNOW!!!! I'll use it as Refugium, and the 150 rubbermaid tub and the 125 sump in together! talk about a Nitrate free zone! I so wish I could handle two massive tanks in the house but got an emphatic NO from the Mrs. COuld have a 225 and 180 display and use the 150 tub and the 125 sump as the sump system. then build a fuge out of the extra plate of 1/2" starphire! NOW that would be a SWEEEET system. have two totally different Reef systems. BTW, anyone got an extra 500 grand laying around? I would need it if tried to do this!.
 
Explain Please? So now your not going to use the tank you put all the work into??? And If your getting rid of extra S/F glass how much do you have left (Size wise)??? Aruba?? Now that sounds good.

Bill, IDK what Im going to do with the two tanks. one or the other will be sold to fund the fish purchases. I have a 7x3 foot piece left over of 1/2" starphire.
 
John. LOL! you funny guy you! ill actually have a 125 sump with this! Jason, ill shoot you a PM when I decide what I am going to do.
 
lol well if you lived closer and my negotiation skills with the boss lady were better might could swing it :D
