Recovering Detritophobe
What temps are everyone keeping their Roaops butterflies at these days? I'm wanting to add another butterfly and keep coming back to these guys. I had a declivis in the past but it was a constant battle with ich - I would remove it to treat, but it would get re-infected when it was put back in the display (display must have had chronic low level infection, but none of the other fish were showing symptoms). I'm wondering if my issues with the declivis are due to the fact that I was keeping the DT at ~78*.
My current tank has a chiller, so I could lower the temp a bit... but not sure I want to. And I'm not sure lowering it a degree or two is worth it if their optimal temperature is actually several degrees lower than typical reef temperatures.
