rock changing colors

The purple/pink coraline on my live rock is starting to turn a greyish/green color. The coraline on my heater and filter also starting to change also. What is causing this?

i am not sure exactly. But i noticed while curing my rock, as my purple coraline began to die off there was a layer of green coraline underneath.

My rock has been in the tank for 7-8 months and the purple has spread and pretty much encrusted the rocks. This has been happening over the past 2 weeks. Did your purple come back? The green doesn't look like algae at all.

it hasn't come back yet because it is still in the curing tank w/out light. Waiting to close on my new condo next week before I set everything up.

The green i had looked just like the purple coralline, it's gone for the most part now as well. I guess some people call it "cooking" the rock, extended curing in the dark. I call it new construction/inspection delays. :( The rock has been in the curing bin for 10 weeks now. I sure do hope the coralline comes back

If not, but a small piece that has a lot of it and re-seed the rock that you already have. Make sure that small piece is cured though.
