Rock curing ?

In curing rock it is still real important to use RODI water? My house water is at about 170PPM dissolved solids. I was wondering if it would be ok to run one the dirtier curings with dechlored tap water since light will not be causing any algae growth and then using RODI for the last few changes.

I am running all my rock curings with dechlorinated tap water. I don't have an RO/DI unit and don't have the bandwidth right now to lug water from a store in Dallas to do water changes in my rock curing tub in Ardmore.

I don't think it will cause any great problem.
