rock question

i have had my tank for about a month now and i bought the rock used off of some kid for a really low price....he had the rocks for 3 months....so now everything is four months old....is there a chance that there could be a mantis shrimp in my rock still?

i heard people talking about how they had their tank for like a year and didnt notice one till the last six months of that year

i really want one but im not allowed to get one for a smaller tank so i just want to know if theres a possibility of having on in my 29 gallon....nothing has died and there is no evidence of one...i just want to have some hope that one might be residing in my tank right now waiting to grow up and make itsself be known


any possibilities?

if you dont hear any clicking at all i doubt youve got a mantis shrimp in there, and even if u did hear clicking it could always be a pistol shrimp

well is it possible that it wont make it self be known for like another two months? and are pistol shrimps usually hitchhikers?

I had LR in my tank for 6 months, and a few weeks ago I noticed clicking. It sure was a amntis, and i got it outta there.
