Hi everyone.
I have a kind of weird question.
I was fiddling with my tank the other day (who doesn't) and i decided to change the rocks a little bit.
I have a nano tank 16g. there are 2 large rocks and 2-3 smaller rocks in-between. What I did was turn upside down one of the large rocks. To y surprise the tank looks soon much better and I have more space to add a few corals. There are also more hiding places for critters. Overall I am very satisfied with the change.
BUT!!! My concern is this. The rock that I turned upside down had some algae growing on it. It was not a lot of it but there is definitely some green/red spots of algae on it. Now that I turned it over it will probably decay since its on the bottom and has no light source. As it decays will it release all the bad stuff it sucked in to grow in the first place into the water?
I am running carbon and phosguard all the time and I am pretty sure I have an established nitrogen cycle.Do you think this will be a problem?
