Rodi and carbon

Does anyone know if it's necessary to put carbon packs in my water column if I start with rodi? It seems redundant. After rodi, there are no TDS (ideally)

Am I missing something?

If your talking about your tank, the carbon will clean the water up(no yellowing). BRS did a video on the effects of carbon in a reactor and what it removes. Basically it will remove coloring pigments from the water, and any chemical warfare you might have going on with soft corals.
