RODI instructions from Aqua_Safe

I have one of their units. I'm quite pleased with them. Very solid. Good quality components. Good customer support. It is also nice that they are well established so getting replacement filters when necessary is easy and pretty cheap.

Wow, if that price is correct, then that would be great! I really need one & haven't heard back from Randal about mine. What does it mean, "If you have a HOME then disregard the DI filter and if you have an AQUARIUM then disregard the tank."?

yznhmr,
NIMFT-You know, when I origionally posted that, it was supposed to mean "not in my fish tank". An old man gave me that one.

I've got one of their units and I'm very happy with it. If you're gonna do it, do it right and buy all the replacement filters and a tds meter (if you need one) right away.

I have had one for about a year and half. I replaced the prefilters but havent replaced the di. I understanding since mine is an old unit that I will need to buy the new di cannister, and replace the stuff inside as needed. New one is clear or something. TDS is running about 3. Havent had any problems w the unit, it is just kinda slow.

How many gallons/day are you guys making with this? What's the cost on the whole unit & replacements filters for it?

For drinking water you don't need to de-ionize it.
For aquarium you don't need a reserve tank. It allows you to rapidly dispense a gallon or so. When topping off or making water a drop at a time works.
I have a 110 gal day unit. I figured for a few bucks more I might as well go with it.

I have the 2 1/2 gal holding tank. It takes about an 45 min to get another 2 1/2g. I have the unit that is supposed to be around 100 gpd but I think it is less. Guess it depends on your water pressure too.

I bought the prefilters for around 50 bucks I thinkand enough for 6 changes. I didnt change mine until had the unit for over a year. DI unit changes is about the same, but havent done that yet.

I paid aout 100 for everthing (unit, holding tank and a little faucet for my sink). Maybe a few bucks over for shipping. This was around June 04

Does anyone know how mayn ounces of DI you need to fill the DI canister?

I'm thinking 18, but I havne't found it anywhere on there site or in the instructions.
