Just got my filterguyz ocean reef 5 stage rodi system. Do i need to let it run for an hour without the cartridges in it? I saw on youtube you have to do that with spectrapure rodi systems. Didn't know if that was a general rule?
Yeah it's generally a standard rule with any unit to flush out the membrane of any anti mold/microbial stuff. During the hour break in its best to disconnect the membrane housing from the DI bed, however it's not absolutely nessasary.
