I bought a 6 stage deluxe system from BRS a while back. The system has a pressure gauge installed on it. I also just re-plumbed my boost pump so that it pumps from the pre-filters and into the RO membrane. I did this so that the canisters aren't needlessly pressurized
My question is, what pressure does the gauge read now? Is it reading line pressure, pre-membrane pressure, or what? Even with my pump on, it now reads just BELOW what the regular line pressure reads when the pump is off.
Previously, I had the boost pump plumbed so that it was boosting line pressure and discharged into the main inlet on the unit. When I had it set like that, I adjusted the pump down to 90 PSI, as the gauge read. Is it safe to assume that it's still pumping 90 PSI to the membrane now since the gauge reads differently?
I just don't want to damage the membrane or the unit.
Thanks!
