So I just did some MAJOR work on my RODI Unit. Upgraded it to 6 stage, set it up in my basement (instead of bringing it into my bathroom to fill up my Brute every 2 weeks), ran RO tubing through my crawl space up into my sump where I now have a float valve (I know many people are against this).
I have a solenoid valve on the way that I'm going to hook up to my controller/float as a safety feature. I'm going to have an extra electronic float valve up high in my sump that will close the valve when pushed up (in case my mechanical float fails and water keeps pumping into my sump.
One problem I'm having is that my RODI tops off my Vat downstairs (which is right next to the unit). Is there a way I can trick it into pump into my sump first, so that it doesn't run dry? I could hook up another solenoid valve to have it close water going to the vat when my sump is low, but i'd have to use yet another float valve in the sump, run yet another extension cord from my basement to my controller, and use yet another outlet space on my controller.
