I have had my pair for one year and they have only developed black between first and second bar. One of my clowns, the female, has still to develop the third stripe on one side. The male has all three stripes. Anyone else have this after a year? Thanks.

not a year yet but my male never has developed the black connecting the 2nd and 3rd bar,

I've had a variation of this issue ... my female has her third stripe on one side of her body but not the other. But it seems to be slowly developing now as we speak!

I've also had these clowns for almost 2 years now.

tp--how is the black developing on yours?

I have had one pair that will be two years old in September. They still have not developed the black between the second and third bars. The black is starting to spread to the bottom portion of their top dorsal fins. I have tried feeding them cyclopeeze, etc., to push the color out, but it has worked on this particular pair (worked great on the jigsaw onyx I have though). Time will tell!

My male only has the stripe on his back left, hes 7months old.

No clear sign of the other side comming in yet.
