I just found this at a LFS. I was wondering if anyone has used it or uses it. This is the first time i have seen it or even heard of it.

thanks for your input. i will post how things go on feeding day.

Tank it will be used on is my 55. The occupants are 2 fuzzy lions. 1 marine betta. 1 ghost ribbon eel(which i do not even expect him to pay attention to the change)

Rods foods are some of the best foods on the market. The Predator blend is basically the same as their Regular blend, but larger chunks.

For the past 4 years, I've fed Rods Regular, Rods Herbivore diet and Rods Coral diet. I also make my own foods, but 90% of the food my fish eat is Rods.

well that makes sence. i read the ingrediense of both and the do differ. the carnivore one does not have krill :love2: it also added a couple things to. so i think it will be great!!

I have also used Rod's for years, plus our reef club has goo parties regularly. I am waiting for my LFS to get the predator blend...can't wait.

I use rods regular, does the predator blend have all the fish eggs and tiny stuff that is intended for corals like the regular does? If it does I think it's kind of pointless unless your preds are in a reef

Jarrod13 -- here's the ingredients for the predator blend:

Shrimp, Scallop, Oyster, Clam, Squid, Octopus, Perch, Green Nori (porphyra sp), Red unroasted nori (porphyra sp) Krill, Brine shrimp, Golden pearls, Garlic, Selco, Astaxanthin (Haematococus pluvialis).

Matt -- my LFS is ordering, it just has not come in yet. As my crew now eats out of the water column this will be awesome.

yeah i have it and was like wow!! i feed tomorrow so i will know for the preds how they like it. i never thought i would get this anxious over fish food lol

my fish go insane for this...get a small piece of plastic mesh, wrap up a piece and clip it to your glass...terrific food, and this method allows angels to pick at it over a longer period of time as the food is not dispersed into the water column...The Pred version does have huge pieces of scallops and entire shrimp and krill...order it online...

nice to hear other people use it. i have used the original for a long time and its great stuff. thats why when i say this one i thought it would be perfect for the lions and betta
