I'm a little surprised that the ORA duncan is smaller than the one from Roes. I thought the ORA's were much larger.

ORAs are bigger, I don't have it long enough yet and this is a frag, the mother colony are way bigger, this one is't kind of in the baby stage still :)

the ora ducan can expand to the size of a silver dollar and something even bigger. it is definately bigger than roes and much greener in real life. great coral cristhiam.

Yes, you do have some nice looking duncans. In looking at your pic, the Roes on the left has a couple of swollen areas that could be the start of some new polyps. Be sure to keep an eye(s) on it. Mine started out that way and I now have 2 babies. Good Luck!

BTW, I found this color variation while surfing around on ebay:

I wonder as these become more available, if we'll see different color variants?

Yeah he just got his a few days ago- give it a little more time and it'll puff up like 2x the size of your roes :) mine is HUGE i got rid of a piece of coral that was sorta over it so this guy can open up and expand.. spread its wings so to speak :) nice fast growers too

low/medium flow and I have mine on the bottom of the tank for now, but they like to be on the rocks. Also I don't think they like strong lights.

i have lots of light but its 20ks not too intense,... i have it in a shaded area would i do better in the light or in the shade? i figured about the rocks.

i have pmd Naka about it as well he has had his for quite some time and it is doing well

Chrisstie how much flow is it in?

tell me a lil about the t5s do they have individual reflectors? are they overdriven?

I have that exact same ORA Duncan.... it will get VERY Large mine is about the size of a silver dollar when opened... The Ora duncans have much shorter tentacles than the others though... Just stubby little things.. I just got a Purple bodied one that has Yellow tentacles hehe

My ORA duncan is quite the opposite, mine have very long tentacles. Full grown polyps are 4" tip to tip.

ORA on the right, roes on the left. The ORA isn't even fully expanded.

Actually the ORA Duncan does have very long tentacles and I would say has the biggest head out of all the Duncans that are around. Can anyone second that?
