My tank is 72 long 22'' high, 18'' deep approx 2-3 sand bed let's say mixed reef . like the wave motion , my question is which tunze set up would work best on this tank too much flow will kick the sand up and don't want too little which do you recommend , thanks

The wavebox would be a possibility if your tank can accomodate a wave of about 1.5" To that I would probably add a 7400/2 blowing the length of the aqaurium, either that or wait for the nano Streams. The current Stream models will move your sand bed as the tank is quite shallow.

Depends on the inhabitants, it could be but if it is heavy SPS and bare bottom you may want more.

No it will not be heavy on SPS , more likely mixed reef on high light scale ,don't plan on cramming corals together either as that creates problems with flow . Thinking the wavebox may be a bad idea , could you explain how the controller works and would this be better option my goal is to create water movement without a sandstorm via powerheads , return pump is only around 400-500 gph after head loss, thanks

2 6055 Nano Streams with a 7095 controller would probably be ideal. Each Stream will cover a 4ft by 18" diameter area. The controller allows you to set two speeds for each pump so they pulse between the speed every few seconds as well as alternating from one pump to the other.
