Rookie Tank of the year.

Shooter7, Dave.

Has the nicest new tank I have seen so far in a long while.
Hopefully he will post some pics for us.

I like the placement of corals, his choice of corals, all of his fish are appropiate for his tank, and it's nice and clean.
He did it on a budget too, so that gets extra points.
I like the bluer lighting scheme too.

Wow...again, like I just told you at the store, Steve, thanks very much! I've tried to research what I do, asked questions of you guys "in the know", and tried to learn off of my own experiences from my smaller tanks. Thanks to you too, John, was great having some of you experienced guys over here awhile back. I'll see what I can do about some updated pics. Wish I had my new Lyretails in there already from QT. Also thanks to everyone who has purchased frags from me now and then as that money is all I have right now to go back into my tank. I'd also like to thank my parents for raising me right and...and.... :p

Anyway, thanks very much again for the kind words and I'll work on the pics.

Ok, I got pics...pics...PICS! ;) Still not real fond of my camera and these pics are much more blue than this thing is in person.
At any rate, here goes:

From the left side this time instead of the right, you can see the large cave in the middle, as well as the large cave on the left pile of rocks - the army of snails I just picked up from chad's place this afternoon:

And, future inhabitants currently in QT. Male has been real reclusive in my pvc pieces while the females have been very sociable:

When that all grows in, you might have tank of the year again but with out the rookie status.

I really like it.
You can see your hours on the internet and planning stuff out helped out alot.

Adding a pic of my latest fish from the last group buy. Had to add him from QT a little sooner than I normally would due to a breakdown of my HOB filter that I use to help with the biofiltration and charcoal running. They were eating and seemed pretty happy in QT, so decided they'd be better off in the display. Anyway, here he is, Mr. "I'm going to hide in the pvc all the time" until I put him in the display, now he's out almost all the time:
