Rose Bubble Tip Anemone Question? (NEW)

Yesterday, I just got a rose bubble tip. When it was in the store all of it's tentacles were out and flowing around the tank. When i got him in my aquarium i noticed that he was a lot smaller, meaning all of those arms had retracted back into his body. How long does it take before he loosens up and comSe back around to normal condition? Also, feeding.. The guy at my lfs suggested I feed it krill, is this a good source of nutrition?

How long did you acclimate it for?
What are your current water parameters?
What Lighting do you have?
Where have you placed the anemone in the tank?
Flow?
How long have you had it?

With those answers you might have a better response.

Mine took a couple days. If it will eat krill it will be ok, mine never did. I feed it prime reef.

I have had him for under 24 hours! I acclimated it for about 30 minutes, and then positioned it where i wanted it. I tried to place him where he will get plenty of water movement. Then over night he moved slightly to probally a better spot and moved closer into the rocks. My water parameters are fine, checked them yesterday before i dropped him in. Lighting (2) 36 watt CF 50/50 Lamps ! It's a basis 24 g nano cube set up! Maybe this will lead to a better response. Thanks:}

Too early to add an anenome to a tank that size. Your setup has not had time to finish cycling. Do you have live rock? Any other inhabitants? On a tank this size I would have waited 6 to 8 months before trying to keep an anenome. They like pristine water conditions and medium to high light with medium water flow. He will probably do o.k. if placed high in the tank so he receives enough lighting. Good luck and keep us posted...
