Rose colored bubble tip anemone living in my overflow

Well... For those of you have been following the saga, I have located my new bubble tip. I have a 210 gallon predrilled All Glass tank. In the predrilled overflows, there are two walls of plastic that run from the tank floor to the tank top. The innerwall is solid plastic that overflows into the pipes for the drain. The outerwall that touches the tank water first has slits in it, that are about 3/4 of an inch high by about 1/8 of an inch wide. There is a gap of about 1/2 an inch apart between the two plastic walls. It is the standard predrilled overflow system.

That being said, my damn anemone crawled into that 1/2 inch gap. Although I cannot say for certain, he appears to have opened up inside. I cannot imagine that he will be able to live inside there, so, does anyone have experience or suggestions. I really love this creature and I would love to get him out. Taking the tank apart is not an option, as the overflow resovoir is sealed by the factory. I tried to cover the top of the overflow box so as to block the light from entering. I then turned off my pump so that he did not have any flow in an attempt to coax him into the light. He appeared to not like that too much as he began to shrink (from what I can see bewteen the slits). Once I turned the pumps back on, he appeared to have opened again as I can see the center disk pretty well between the overflow slits.

So, is it possible that my dumb anenome will decide to live in there? Can he get out? Will he get out? Is he a goner? Please help me...

A~
