I am trying to find another supplier of Rotifer Diet. The company I use is wonderful but being located in the US the shipping is a killer. Is there any place that anyone knows of within Canada to purchase the product?
I dont, but try calling or reaching out to the company and see if they sell to any stores more local to you. Most places like that do keep a registry somewhere...

Sounds like it would be a good idea to grow your own rotifer food. It would be much cheaper to culture your own Phytoplankton then it would to buy it so often. It's not too difficult and there are many great threads from those who do culture their own on this forum.

I meant cheaper in the sense that he wouldn't have to pay for shipping and any exchange rates on top of his product price. Guess it would also depend on how much he was buying and how often.
Was just an idea; wasn't trying to knock anyone off the market.
I started growing my own nannochloropsis and tetraselmis because I found it cheaper for my own instance. I had a bunch of baby clowns and found it necessary to culture my own to keep my rotifer cultures going. Was much cheaper growing my own then buying the mass amounts I needed.
Thanks Tony, I am in Brampton Ontario so Reef Aquatica might be a solution. I must admit their prices are double that as from Reed Mariculture. It appears that they too must incur the $30.00 shipping fee, duty exchange etc. I like dealing with Reed Mariculture, the staff are great.
I am beginning to feel a "break" from raising these clowns is in order so I won't need too much rotifer food at this point. I would really like a holiday and I am not sure how to take time off without a fish sitter that I can count on. I am beginning to spread myself a little thin given this is not my main occupation. It would be nice to see how others do it, take time off and return to healthy fish. Any tips? It will be hard not aquiring all those eggs for I get so many fry and thus clowns on a regular basis.
livebrineshrimp.com is located in the us, but they sell a great kit to grow your own rotifers, and their starting cultures are pretty massive...thats what i would consider doing
