I dont know.I was just wondering.I allways used BBS.Just because its a rule,Now that I think about it.........Time to break that rule. I will try with True Percs......I am not gona risk Onyx's.

Lol. You chicken Seriously though. I'm really happy since I stopped with the BBS. It was a pain. I think my survival rates are better without them.

Does anyone here use rotifer filter in your culture? Reed sells rot filter. Does it make a difference if you use it or not?

I've never found a need for it. I just siphoned the bottom of the tank weekly.

Rk - Sorry - I meant rotifer filter FLOSS. Reed says to hang it suspended in your rot culture and apparently it will help in removing detritus and dead rots. Just need to rinse it daily or when it gets dirty.

I knew what you meant. I've just never used it. You hang it? I thought it just layed on the bottom so the detritus settles onto it?

Gresham and Randy from Reed both say to suspend it via fishing line or something else and let the rots and anything else flow through it. I thought the same as you that putting it on the bottom would be better to catch all that gunk on the bottm.
