Ok so i thought my clown was about to lay eggs. Didn't happen or she did and i can't see them. Anyway i ordered rotifers from reed marculture just in case.
I received it yesterday and put the bag in the frig. Problem is it can't stay in there to long 2 or three days.I have no fry to feed. Should i try my hand at culturing the rotifers anyway? they say culturing rotifers can be difficult to do maybe i can just use it for practice.

stan -

i would not put them in the fridge as they are live and in the fridge they may crash and form cysts. While the cysts are revivable - it'll take longer.

Check out the breeding forum -there's info there on rotifiers. but in a nutshell - an empty salt bucket, an air pump preferably attached to just a rigid tube and feed the rotifiers phyto every day and you'll be able to maintain.

It's definitely a good idea to keep rotifer cultures on hand if you plan on breeding fry.

you could even start two buckets - in case one crashes.
