Rotting xenia

My water quality is perfect.
0 on ammonia, nitrite, nitrate; 450 cal, 12 alk.
I also use iodide.
The other xenias are doing amazing, but I have ONE stalk that is rotting.
did a search on it online, but nothing came up.
ANyone know whats going on?

sorry, i decided to chop it off. everything else in the tank, including the other xenias are doing so well. I didnt want to risk it.

but if anyone else has seen it before, or can offer a suggestion as to what happened, it would be great.
