rownfish died today, Firefish a few days ago.

I got an order in from LiveAquaria not long ago.

A few days ago (maybe 4) one of the firefish died. I didn't think much of it, seeing as the firefish wasn't exactly very active.

However, today, a clownfish I got died. I have no idea why.

I woke up to my tank full of bubbles (water level in sump was low because of RODI reservoir getting low), and a dead clownfish. Could that have been the cause?

Tank Size: 125g + 30g sump.
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
Ammonia: 0

Def gonna have to second mcgvr. A salinity swing perhaps? Although only a 5 gallon reservoir with a total of 155 gallons is only a small amount, what was the time frame?

I don't think you guys understand. The reservoir tank was empty before hand. It isn't that the reservoir tank dumped the 5 gallons into the tank.

What is the salinity right now? How long has Nitrates been at 0? Is this in a previously cycled tank, or could the tank be cycling? What are phosphates at? How and what are you feeding the tank? The air bubbles could be a factor but unlikely unless you have high concentrations of CO2 or other toxic gases in the house.

1. Salinity is currently at 1.024
2. Tank has been setup for almost a year, it is already cycled. Nitrates have been at 0 for a long time, the bio load on the tank is small, I do large water changes, and I have a combination sump/canister filter.
3. I don't have a phosphates measure right now...
4. I feed Mysis shrimp, reef chili and Hikari Seaweed Extreme daily.
a. I Use a net to broadcast feed the Mysis shrimp.
b. I drop the Hikari randomly in the tank.
c. I spot feed the corals the reef chili with the bottle that comes with Reef Chili.

I doubt it is anything in the aquarium, unless the salinity was way off from what the fish was shipped in. Could be shipping stress or ammonia if it wasn't put into the aquarium within 30 minutes of opening the bag. Read the sticky above called death in a bag, some good info there.

I know people mail order fish with no problems all of the time, but I have done 3 fish orders online (not liveaquaria) and have had casualties every time. Never DOA, always within the first week. I've had better luck with fish from the LFS. I always ask how long they have had the fish and make sure it's eating and no visible parasites/problems. I've been in some stores with terrible conditions and dead fish in the aquariums, avoid them obviously.

I understand.. But when I made that comment I had NO details into size of tank or size of ATO or anything..
And it was just a guess.. Fish can/do die.. And shipping them can be stressful..

Now.. What other inhabitants are in the tank? Anything that could attack them?
Any visible signs of ich or other disease?
Any other fish in the tank that are still living and purchased at the same time?

All the fish in the tank seem to be doing great...
They are all swimming and eating.

In this shipment I got:

1x Yellow Tang
3x Purple Firefish (1 died)
1x Clown Fish (1 died, it was quite small)
1x Royal Gramma (he is hiding my the overflow box, and has been for days)

I did notice that the purple firefish had little energy, so I wasn't surprised when he started breathing heavy and died after 2 days of being in the tank.

The clown fish was a shock, because he seemed fine.

The royal Grama is hiding, which is worrying me.
