Royal Gramma bottom of tank

I just recently received my mail ordererd royal gramma. It looks very healthy, but was stressed out and was lying down. I know that this is normal.I let it float for 5 mins for temp, then opened bag and acclimated the fish. I did this fairly quickly like 30-40 mins. I didnt want ammonia to build up. The bag was slightly lower than the tank, but almost the same. After adding some freshwater to the tank, I got them matched up. the royal gramma still doing fine. Then I put it in the tank. It was swimming against the glass and near the top. After a min or so it swam along the bottom. right now it is on the bottom leaning against the glass and behind the foam filter. I hope it is just stressed out, because it is still breathing and moves its fins. Also I know that royal grammas are pretty shy fish since I had another once before. Will it be alright? Its is in a qt tank with a bangaii cardinal.bangaii cardinal has no problem with royal gramma.

Glad to hear he's in a QT, sounds like he's just stressed. Turn the lights off and just let him be for a while.

Give him time. Royal Grammas can be shy, especially in QT. He's still stressed from shipment, but will come around eventually. Keep the tank lights off today so it doesn't add to his stress.

+1 Grammas are shy. Keep a close eye, though. They are also somewhat susceptible to disease and need to be treated quickly.
