Royal Gramma gone

I added a royal to my 65 mixed reef 3 weeks ago.
He was drip acclimated and seemed issue free when introduced. After swimming around frantically for 30 minutes he disappeared into the LR somewhere and I have not seen him since. I have read they are strange fish, but think after 3 weeks I would have seen him.
Should I right him off as a goner or still hold out hope?
There are 2 clowns and a cardinal in prior to him.

Royal grammas like hiding in caves within the LR. IME they can be pretty shy, and I had mine "disappear" for 2-3 weeks at a time before it got comfortable with the other fish. Try feeding food that floats around in the current, and the royal might just dart out quickly to snatch it.

I recently got one too and mine is only a 40 gallon. Since tank is not that big I can see where he hides out. They are shy but once they are accustom to your tank they will come out more.

Try feeding the tank to see if he darts out to feed.

I usually feed pe mysis or similar food every other day and havent seen him dart out yet. I hope he's still alive in there somewhere after 3 weeks!
