I got a Royal Gramma this past Saturday and he's been acting like a normal fish, eating like a pig and swimming around. Today when feeding I noticed that where the yellow transitions to purple, there's some
Sort of cloudy fungus-type looking stuff on his side. There also appeared to be tiny ich spots on his face but I may have just been trying to find things wrong and it could've just been air bubbles. He's not acting
Strange at all and isn't flashing or anything and I have a clown with him that's healthy as can be. My question is, could his immune system fight this off and should I just wait it out, or should I treat with meds?? I have inverts so I'm a little hesitant to do this. Thanks in advance!!

I don't think it's brookynella or marine velvet because I read that these start at the gills and the first symptoms are rapid breathing, and he's not breathing rapidly and it's not on his gills, it's in the middle, and I don't think it's fungus because it doesn't spread out from his body. Could it just be skin irritation because the first couple days I had him he would squeeze into a tight spot in the rock, so could he have been scraping the rocks every time he left his cave?!?

The fungus-looking stuff went away but he definitely has ich on his face but he's acting totally normal and feeding and everything. Can he fight this off on his own? I don't know how to treat ich because I have inverts (snails and a cleaner shrimp), and no spare tanks.

Because of the inverts you are limited on what you can do. Do you have live rock too? You can try garlic guard which you can use on any frozen food it helps to boost immune system. Also you might look into a UV sterilizer. It will only kill the ich when it falls off the fish before it encapsulates to reproduce and when its swimming looking for a host.
