Royal Gramma

Hello, I just got a Royal Gramma on Friday and want to know if anyone has one and your experiences with them. He is in quarantine and wont come out of his artificial decoration. Every time i come done to look at him he is out, then he shoots back in to his cave.

How should i get him to eat?

In my experience, they do a lot of hiding when they are new to a tank. Give him some time - he will show off more when he gets used to his new home.

They're not the most outgoing fish so it may take some time for it to come out of hiding. I have 2 and they like to lurk under a rock most of the time. Just keep feeding a small amount in the same place and when he gets hungry he will come out to eat.

I have had my Gramma for three years now. Give yours time. They really are outgoing and are always out in the open once they get used to their new environment.
