Lol yea I am a bit tired. I'll look into flatworm exit and try to get rid of them ASAP.

The thing that I'm curious about though is that they've been on there for so long, and its not like they're eating the polyps. So, what the heck are they doing there ?

but they just really dont do much other than irritate them a little and look ugly. So no need to rush, also i will say this again READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!! 2-5 times if you need to. flatworms when killed release an extremely harmful toxin, you must read the directions!!! or you can damage your tank.

I imagine they will be vulnerable to FWE, I would confrim this for sure befoe nuking the tank, and then follow the direxctions on the bottle.

The most important thing is that you eliminate 95% or more of them by sucking them out before you treat, as they arent dangerous to you until you kill mass amounts of them and they release their toxins. You do not have a plague proprtion of them there. But you surely have many, many, many, many, many times more of them than you can see.

Some will go away on their own or never get out of hand. I have actually only seen a few cases where any type of clearish type ones have gottne truly out of hand. Just the same, I would do what it takes to off them all myself. get them while the gettin is good

Question.. I obviously dont have the treatment with me, but do you treat it in the tank? Would it be safer to take it out and treat it?

I am just assuming that you have used this before, forgive me if I'm wrong lol.

they are in your rocks as well. even if you just took out the corals they would not be gone : ( stupid things!!!

dang. Well alright, i hope I dont mess this one up.. You'll probably see about 100 more posts about using the treatment before I use it lol. I really dont wanna mess this up, i've worked so hard on the tank.

I'm assuming it involves a crap load of water changes

I see a few threads about FWE working perfectly, then I see some about FWE completely distroying their tank

most of the threads posted seem to be of tanks that are overloaded with flatworms, the only flatworms that I see are on that one colony.

just read the direction a few times and you will be ok, it will explain everything to you.

but a heads up it does ask you to have a gallon of carbon on hand

yeah so i've heard. I have a phosban reactor, maybe i'll just replace it with carbon media. Im trying to decide though. Since they seem to be harmless to the corals, and there isnt a TON of them, would trying to get something to eat them first be a better option?

you can always try but the chances of the fish eating them before the get out of hand is slim. Also what really sucks is the fish that like to eat them dont like to be kept with another one of there kind : /

Just take it slow and read those directions when you get the product it will explain this.

What about nudibranches?

I was thinking about getting something that eats them and also manually getting them out as much as possible.

I really want to try to avoid anything that holds the possibility of destroying my entire tank.
