So you did nothing but wait? What was the cause? Were you feeding them during that time? I'm relieved to hear their color will come back. I wonder if this has happened to others, like the PPE? Should be getting some of those soon too & would be really upset to se those bleach.
the T5 your using Jeni is equivelent to a very powerful 250w mh or better fixture. those tek lights are nothing to fool around with when it comes to corals and acclimation. id shade the croal with some window screen mesh (the plastic kind) and some eggcrate in a box type structure, or put them on the sandbed in a shaded spot. they will take time to recover, but they might not depending on how badly they really are fading.
Hey Justin, How are ya? I can't move them, they're attached to the big rock. I can try shading them--did for a few weeks, when everything got moved form the PCs to the T5s. Weird that it would take 6 weeks, to start bleaching. I feel a lil better, knowing they will get their color back, even if it's 4-6 months.
well if you cant move em get some fiberglass screen netting and cut out a few layers put a strawberry container over the zoas with the screen and then slowly (1 per 2 weeks) remove a layer and watch. they should come back.
