RPS all-out... take 2 !

did you try basting the eggs? if they do indeed die , they should just blow off.

yes, the eggs are hanging there strong !

update? I am anxious to see the pic of the day.

here it is :

Can you spot the difference ?
I saw something new in what looked like a previously hatched eggs, a shadow
Took two pics 3h later to see if it was moving and it has indeed...

not sure what it is, but it is not coming from the pack of eggs I am monitoring... but there are 2 other pack of eggs nearby...

Gday Aqua, its sure looks like some untowards goings on. I am alittle confused as to what you mean by your statment about the egg packs, it sure does look like the same picture to me?
not a good sign either way

OR

Is this just your French Canadian sence of humour.... Poisson Avril.....:)

you are right the 2nd pic comparison is a close-up of the same eggs on my pictures...

here is the difference I noticed :

seems like "something" coming from another place (ie was not in that egg before)...
a young AEFW eating the egg ? or anything else... for now your guess is as good as mine !

ok to further clarify things... here is what I mean by other egg packs :

IMGP4924.jpg

in the circle is the pack that I photography each day...
arrows are other AEFW eggs that I don't monitor closely...
so I don't know what is happening with them...

looks like larvae developing and moving around ?

or are you sure thats an already hatched egg > ?

We can see in the pictures that theses eggs are less colorful (is paler an english word ?) and lack septations and are not as smooth.... to me that means that what we see is just the "bottom" half of the egg sac still attached to the coral skeleton ie an already hatched egg.

here :

in the green circles is what I believe to be unhatched, possibly viable, eggs
the rest that's in focus in that pic is older eggs debris...
at least that's what I believe !

How many times have you dipped that acro? And are you planning on doing another dip on it ?

only one time ! I plan first to see what happens with only one dip...

If it is a developing larvae, it's interesting that none of the other eggs are showing this. Great documentation!

thx !

time for another pic...

Good job Simon.

I am keep following this awesome thread

I understand that but what if it takes 2-3 dips to kill the eggs. ( if it even does kill them) we don't know much yet , and yes it's an experiment

I think the main point of this thread is verifying manufacturer claims... the most controversial being that the dip kills aefw eggs and all... which that would insinuate a one and done dip and no worries of parasites... It was never mentioned it took multiple dips, so he's not doing them now...

I would however try it if it's proven that these eggs are still developing and hatching

He asked the question. Maybe you should quote him for asking..........

I and many other members find this fascinating, although I have not posted.

After seeing many of your post, it seems only right that if you can bust other member chops must be fair game right?
