what's the difference between a tank that is RR and one that is drilled?

i imagine it's something simple but i see them advertised both ways and wondered about it....

thanks

Advertising. A RR tank is drilled and has an overflow (typically). A drilled tank may not be set up for an overflow, I guess. Some people who drill tanks with tempered bottom glass, of course, have to drill the walls of the tank, as you can't drill tempered glass (well, not without breaking it, anyway). I usually think of RR as having the holes drilled in the bottom with an overflow surrounding the holes, but I'd ask the person exactly what they mean before buying. HTH

Could be no difference , hard to say without knowing more.
I think Reef Ready is a term Oceanic coined though it is used by others.

Reef Ready is generally thought of as a tank that is set-up with a overflow system that is gravity feed (drilled bottom or side) as opposed to one with a hang-on siphon unit.

But like G said you should ask the seller for clarification 'cause you never know.

Does being drilled make something Reef Ready?:D
