...Thats why most clear out within the first year. The remainder of us are either brave or brain damaged mutants.

Any news???

While the original intention of the post was simply to let the others in the area know about the tank pricing, I have enjoyed reading all of the thoughts and opinions on going big. At this point, I am still leaning towards a 6' tank as I really like the Tangs that are said to require more room than a 4’ tank provides.
I think, hard as it is for me, I need to proceed cautiously. That being said, I need to visit more local tanks, ask more questions and continue with my research on RC.

well yes and no for tangs needing more than 4 feet. First it would depend on which tang, asecond a 120g is a 4 foot tank, but because it is 2 foot wide it easyly houses a few different types of tangs. just to give you other options. but i'd go with a 6 footer as well if you have the room.

SPS...I live over off of Front Street in Vestal, you can come see my new 125 set up. It has no fish in it, but you can get a good idea of the space needed for a 6' tank.

You know I was thinking about this thread . Marineland has come out with a new series of tanks which are 3 feet wide they are called the deep dimension tank they are standard 36 wide and 27 high regardless if they are 3ft,4ft,5,6ft long and they are available with Starfire glass

They are sweet tanks . Something to think about.

You ever see the pics of the guy who was making a starfire tank?
He layed 1 starfire side on newspaper next to the back side which was plain glass. I was shocked at how much clearer the starfire side was. Definelty something to think about. LMAO just one more thing to consider.

Thank you both for taking the time to show me your aquariums. You both have beautiful set-ups and have given me yet more to ponder as I attempt to plan my little piece of the reef.
Thanks again.
