rtn question

I've got a purple cap that started to rtn. about 1/4 of it is white. turns out my salinity was a little low along with the alkalinity. fixed those problems.

my question is should I live it like it is...or frag off the white part? I don't want to loose whats left!

You may want to give it a quick dip in a iodine solution just to prevent any infection, don't cut it, over time the tissue will grow over the exposed skeleton.

so dip it in something like tropic marin pro coral cure? I'm pretty sure that's an iodine dip.

Yes that will be fine, not too strong, follow the directions
