rubberbands in a reef tank

anything wrong with this? i just used one of my girlfriends hair rubber bands to attach a frag to my rock.

thats one way. I would occasionally use one to put nori on a rock. No harm.

is it an actual rubber band or is it those ones that are just like stretchy...idk...like threads that are stretchy and dyed different colors? if its just a regular rubber band, i use those all the time for gsp, (actually i've had one in there for like 4 months cuz the gsp overgrew it), no problems...but if its the ones that are dyed, i'd be warry of using those...the paint or dye or whatever could leach, could it not?

the frag was mounted, but my hermits have been acting crazy recently and i didn't want them to knock it off as it came in a little stressed. i just attached the mount to the rock, not the frag directly. i will glue it eventually, but not until it is situated and happy.

I've used rubberbands before to attach mushrooms to their rocks since they kept on falling off. Just wash them before putting them in the tank.

sometimes times those bands have copper pieces on them so be careful
