I just bought a brute to hold water and to start to cook my rocks. What do people wash these things out with before using them.

I would just use a 20:1 mixture of muriatic acid and water. Be careful with this stuff though...it can be dangerous.

I usually just rinse them with water. Vinegar would also work as people dose vinegar to lower their PH.

I filled mine up with water and dumped a couple cups of vinegar in it. Then I put a small powerhead in there and let it soak for about 24 hours.
