Rubbermaid Stock Tank with Uniseal

Hello, I'm about to drill a 100 gallon stick tank on the end for my return line. I have both 1.5" and 2" in ideals and would prefer to to with the larger one. I want to drill than bottom ledge but the 2" seems like it would hang over just a touch. Does that matter with a Uniseal? If so am I loosing a lot of flow going with the 1.5" Uniseal? What if I ise the 1.5" and quickly go to 2" pvc? Thanks.

What do you mean by 'hang over?' Are you worried about the outer lip on the uniseal? That doesn't matter much. You do have to be far enough away from the edge so that the surface doesn't deform too much and disrupt the seal when the uniseal (and pipe) are inserted.

How much flow do you need? 1.5" pipe can handle quite a bit of flow. Clearly not as much as 2", but for most purposes 1.5" should be adequate. Immediately upsizing to 2" pipe from a 1.5" uniseal will help improve flow, but it still won't be as much as a 2" uniseal would.

Thanks sleepydoc. I went ahead with the 1.5" and I may jump it up to 2" pvc. It was close as far as deforming and I figured the amount of flow difference didn't justify potentially ruining the rubbermaid.
