rubbermaid sump

I have hear that a lot of people use rubbermaid containers for sumps.

I am hoping that someone can give me an idea for some baffling. I want something that will divide a refugium from the return pump.

The other fear I have is the amount of deformation the tub will have with water in it. any good solutions to this?

you could make a surround around the top i guess but they dont bow out that much I use one as a tank

There isn't room in there for a frame and the rubbermaid container I would like to use.

Don't you have a round rubbermaid container as your tank. If it is those don't bow out very much, mine is a rectangle, and when I filled it with water it bowed more than I liked.

I mean dont get me wrong it does bow out a little. I set my rack when there was no water in the tank and when i filled it up I did have to add a small coupling to the ends. Could you maybe wrap a ratchet strap around it and suck it in some before ya put water in it?

That is an idea!! I will have to add something to help keep it rectangular, but that could work.

Thanks

Call the Salty Critter in Vermillion Ohio and ask for the owner Dan he made a sump just like that for a friend of mine and can help you out
