I wouldn't think so as they are made from high density polyethylene. Does anyone else think they are a problem? I believe Advance Aquatics uses them but I can't say their displays look that impressive. They can be purchased a number of places such as McMaster Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#. which is where I bought mine. They just happen to be located in the town where I live so Will Call has its benefits.
Also, if you are looking for food grade containers Schweppe and Sons, Inc. is in Lombard, IL http://www.schweppeinc.com/ just minutes away for me. They have a variety of food grade storage units. I use 2 44 gallon food grade cans made by Continental. You can see them in my gallery. I use one for mixing salt which I gravity feed for water changes and one for dosing Kalk. now.
