Runaway Hermit!

[10" Red Devil]

One of my hermits a Hawaiian Zebra to be exact decided to take a big holiday from my tank today. It crawled out of the tank apparently and somehow ended up in a room that is more then 30 feet away from the tank. Which means that the dog scooped it up and brought it into the living room or it actually crawled in there itself. Either way I am astounded by this! I have been keeping reefs for 10 years and this has never happened! I cannot believe how much this crab crawled. I mean for it's size this is the equivalent of crossing the Sahara desert! Okay maybe not that far, but it is amazing!

Thats funny, I found a hermit far away from my tank as well!

Hello,

this is an experience which is not to seldom, I had it as well as other posters...
In nature they also climb out of the water up the rocks - ok most of the time not o far away - but if they get out of our tanks its harder for them to find their way back as if they climb a rock on the beach....
