hey there

Can i run a 6100 and a 6000 off of one 7095 multicontroller? or do they need to be the same pump?

this is for a 180G tank,
I was thinking that 2 6100's would be too much flow for a 180G since I was planning to keep quite a few LPS...

If I have 2 tunze streams on the top of either end of the tank:

1) Which area would have the strongest flow? Right in the middle?
2) Which area would have the weakest flow? Underneath the streams on the ends of the tank?

YES they are the same pumps but with a different driver. I use one 6100 and 6000 and 7095 on my 180g which is a mix of SPS,LPS and softies. You can also if you want later upgrade the 6000 to the 6100 by getting a upgrade driver but if you have alot of LPS I think it will be too strong for them.

I have my streams on opposite ends and then the 7095 controller alternates the flow, the LPS and softies seems to like the back
and forth :)

The driver is actually the same, that is the blue box, it is the transformers that are different.

The 6000 covers a 4ft span, I would choose this pump for mainly softies and LPS. For leathers and SPS you need the 6100's.
