Running Calcium Rea tor in Sump

Hi All,
I have a quick question I'm trying to get to the bottom of. I am setting up a calcium reactor (Reef Octopus CR140). The circulation pump mounted at the base of the reactor is described as a wet/dry pump. Does this mean it can be submerged, as on could I stand the reactor in the sump (space limited)? If yes are there any issues doing this? Many thanks.

Most of the reactors I'm aware of are most often operated with the pump on the outside and hoses into and out of the sump. When I had a very small reactor, having it on the outside made water flow more controllable, so perhaps the concept goes for larger as well. There are videos out there (not postable here) showing your model in operation.
