Running Ozone thru a 240/3

Roger,

I notice that the 240/3 has provision for Ozone input. I haven't set up my skimmer yet but would Ozone significantly improve the skimming performance ?. On the other hand, are there any negative affects on the skimmer/pump etc if Ozone is used ?. I've read that rubber parts don't like ozone but not sure if there are things in the skimmer or pump which would deteriorate as a result of using Ozone.

Very small amounts of ozone-3-5mg, might provide some benefit. Otherwise it is likely to reduce skimmer performance and in the long term cause some parts to deteriorate.
